U.S. and Belizean Forces Complete Joint Medical Training
The Louisiana Army National Guard has wrapped up a five-day medical training program with the Belize Defense Force and Belize Coast Guard.
According to the U.S. Embassy in Belize, a total of 16 combat medics and military physicians successfully completed life support courses during the exercise. The training focused on improving emergency response skills that can be applied in military operations, natural disasters, and routine patrols.
The Embassy noted that the military-to-military exchange is designed to strengthen Belize’s ability to safeguard both military personnel and civilians, while enhancing regional cooperation.
“This military-to-military exchange helps Belize’s military and civilian personnel respond to emergencies, whether during military operations, natural disasters, or routine patrol duties, keeping all of us safer and healthier” the statement said.
