Urgent Search for Missing Canadian in PG
We turn now to the south, where a growing sense of urgency surrounds the search for a missing Canadian man living in Punta Gorda. Police have issued an official notice for sixty‑four‑year‑old Alfred Pliel, who had been staying in Indianville for the past few months. Authorities say his vehicle was discovered in Punta Gorda, but Pliel himself hasn’t been seen or heard from in a week, and tonight, investigators, and residents, are increasingly concerned about his whereabouts.

“Reports indicated that he was found in a shallow grave.”
ACP Hilberto Romero
“That is incorrect. He has not been found at this time. The only thing we found was his car in Punta Gorda. He use to hang out with some friends in Punta Gorda. Those persons have been interviewed. But we have no leads as to his whereabouts at this time. He lived in Punta Gorda a couple months.”
