Urgent Search for Missing Police Officer Kenyon Barrow
For more than a week, every call and every passing day has deepened one family’s fear for a missing police officer. Twenty-four-year-old Kenyon Barrow last contacted his mother on September eighth and has not been seen or heard from since. His mother, Therese Robinson, says the silence is completely out of character, particularly because Barrow has reportedly faced personal and mental health challenges in recent months. Robinson searched the Black Water area of Orange Walk herself before formally reporting her son missing to police. Now, fearing he may be in distress, she is urgently appealing to anyone who has seen Barrow or knows where he may be to contact the authorities.

“Since the last three weeks, I would say, he was prompt at answering the phone every time that I call. And I would say to him, “Kenyon, I think it’s time for you to come home because you are not from Orange Walk and you have made a decision not to go back to work, and so I’m concerned about you. I’m very concerned, and I’m getting reports that you may not be okay, so I really want you to come home. I learned that he was residing at a lady somewhere in Blackwater area. I went to the lady house. I went to the landlord. He was very cooperative, and he provided me with the little information he has. I made calls. I checked with his friends that I know through phone. The landlord said he hasn’t seen Kenyon in two months, but he’s paying his rent. He is to pay rent on Wednesday. So we agree that, okay, if he’s to pay rent on Wednesday, then we’ll know if he’s okay or not because he’ll pay the rent as usual he do online. All I want from him, if he’s safe, if he’s okay, to communicate with us and let us know that he’s okay because everybody’s concerned about him. And if it is that he’s not, not okay and she know where he is, let us find him.”

“Up to when I spoke to the landlord yesterday when I was at the station, no, he didn’t. But the landlord told me the lady called and inquired if he had heard from Kenyon, and he told her no. And the lady then said, did he tell you that this is the last rent that he was to pay because he was to move with me? Now, I didn’t know this information because he haven’t been entirely open. So now I am learning that there was arrangement somewhere along the line. I don’t know, but my concern is his safety.”
Robinson is urging anyone who may have seen or spoken with Kenyon Barrow to contact police or call her at 6-0-9-4-4-9-2.
