Where Is Nawat? MU Executive Dismissed After Viral Heated Confrontation

There have been several activities since the opening ceremony of the 2025 Miss Universe pageant on November 5, and many are questioning Nawat Itsaragrisil’s whereabouts.

The reason behind it is that the MU executive was dismissed after his tearful apology failed to put an end to mounting criticism over a heated confrontation with Miss Mexico, Fátima Bosch, captured on a livestream for the universe to see.

During the sashing ceremony, Itsaragrisil accused Bosch of failing to promote Thailand, called her a “dumbhead,” and ordered security to remove her. Several contestants walked out in solidarity.

“I have restricted Nawat’s participation in the events that are part of the 74th Miss Universe Competition. Limiting it as much as possible or eliminating it entirely,” Miss Universe president Raúl Rocha said in a press statement.

Rocha added, “On behalf of the Miss Universe Organization, to detail all the corporate and legal actions that we will undertake as a result of the malicious acts committed by Nawat… We had, unfortunately, trusted MGI, and that trust has failed under the unfortunate leadership of Nawat.”

Nawat made a public apology onstage during the opening ceremony. “I am human. Everybody knows the past few days have been a lot of pressure. But it’s already past. I think you must understand that the pressure is a lot. Sometimes, I cannot control. But I have not intended to harm anyone,” Nawat said.

He was then heard saying, “Are you happy?” as he turned toward the Miss Universe candidates behind him. Body language experts noted that he appeared to direct the comment toward Miss Mexico, who did not clap during his apology.

The 2025 Miss Universe pageant is still scheduled to begin on November 21 in Thailand.
