Who Keeps Targeting Mary Hill R.C. School?
Intruders targeted Mary Hill Roman Catholic School in Corozal District once again. The school’s ongoing campus improvement projects were left damaged, and the school ground was littered with trash.
“Garbage was scattered across the grounds, and recycled covers were intentionally spilled,” the school administration said in an online statement. “Even more alarming, recent progress on our campus improvement projects was damaged, the molding prepared for our new sidewalks was destroyed, sand was scattered, and materials meant for construction were used to spell out offensive language directly in front of the office.”
School officials described the incident as “deeply disheartening”. However, it added that it would not derail efforts to improve the learning environment for students.
“Acts like this do not define who we are, nor will they weaken our commitment to providing a safe, beautiful, and welcoming environment for our students.”
The school says it is investigating and is calling on the public for help identifying those responsible.
