Why Does Your Crystal Water Now Say Dasani?

If you have recently picked up a bottle of Crystal Water and noticed a new name on the label, there is no need to wonder whether you are buying a different product.

Crystal Water bottles are being rebranded as “Crystal by Dasani” as part of a “planned brand evolution”, according to Bowen & Bowen. The company says the change is to the branding and packaging, but not the water itself.

According to Bowen & Bowen, it continues to be produced using the same process and to the same high-quality standards.

The new branding is intended to connect Crystal’s local presence in Belize with Dasani, the bottled-water brand of The Coca-Cola Company.

The change in packaging follows the earlier introduction of the Crystal by Dasani branding on 5-gallon bottles.

For now, both the existing Crystal packaging and the new Crystal by Dasani packaging are available in stores. According to Bowen & Bowen, the old packaging will eventually be phased out in favour of the new design, but both contain the same water.
