Young Legends Crowned 2025 National Softball Champions

The Young Legends are the new National Male Softball Champions after dominating this weekend’s three-day tournament. The team, made up mostly of baseball players, defeated every opponent and sealed the title with a decisive 9–2 victory over the Guardian Bombers in the final.

“This tournament has been on our calendar and on our bulletin board for a couple of weeks now; we’ve been going through some stuff here within the parameters of Belize City. Just fighting in battle every single day, going to practice, getting games, people forfeiting and having all these rules coming up on us,” said founding member Andrew Tramel after the win. “This is the culmination of everything we’ve been working for this whole summer.”

One of those baseball players on the team was well-known Delbert Hinds. “We made some spectacular catches out there. I’m a hardcore player; I go all out, and I don’t try to hold back,” he said.

“When I found out about no baseball here, I basically came here and kind of force that will… We’re trying to cherish and share here to cultivate that culture and reapply that culture into softball and into baseball,” Tramel added.
