Belize is taking a moment to honor the people who keep government running behind the scenes. Last night in Belmopan, one hundred seventy-three public officers were celebrated for hitting a major milestone, twenty-five years of service to the nation. The ceremony, part of this year’s Public Service Week, brought together senior officials, families, and colleagues to salute decades of commitment and hard work. Officials say these long-serving workers have helped shape public institutions and deliver essential services through times of change and challenge. Minister of the Public Service Henry Charles Usher praised their dedication, describing public officers as the backbone of government and key to driving progress, innovation, and better service for all Belizeans.
