382 Pounds of Cannabis Seized in Corozal Drug Bust

Police have seized 382 pounds of suspected cannabis following an intelligence-led operation in northern Belize.

Assistant Superintendent Stacy Smith reported that the operation was carried out by officers attached to the Mobile Interdiction Unit on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at around 8:40 p.m.

Smith said the team was conducting a search in the area of Ramonal Landing in Patchakan Village, Corozal District, when officers discovered eight black bags containing the suspected drugs.

ASP Smith said the drugs have since been deposited as found property. No arrests have been announced in connection with the seizure at this time.
