Father Blames Driver for Son’s Violent Crash 

The driver injured in Monday’s Prado rollover on the Philip Goldson Highway near the Haulover Bridge is recovering in hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, according to his father, Emilio Zabaneh.

Zabaneh said his son, Emil Brian Zabaneh, suffered a deep cut to the back of his head that required eight stitches and a hairline fracture to his lower spine.  

“He’s trying to remember as much as he can, but some of it he can’t remember because he was knocked out,” Zabaneh said. 

According to him, his son Emil was driving home. Video footage of the accident shows a vehicle pulling out of a gas station and cutting across traffic in front of the lane Emil was driving on. 

Emil was seen ejected through the sunroof. 

“He only acquired the vehicle two days before. And so he had just fixed the AC, bought four tires, and changed the battery for the Prado,” Zabaneh said. “ I think the driver of the vehicle that caused the accident had no business turning into traffic to get across the road.” 

Zabaneh added, “I’ve recommended to none other than the Prime Minister himself this morning to continue the median all the way to Haulover Bridge because that’s what you do for safety in other countries.”
