Alexander Gomez Charged After San Ignacio Drug Search

A police patrol in San Ignacio on Saturday ended with a drug arrest after officers say a man’s suspicious behavior caught their attention. Police were on Bullett Tree Road when they stopped and searched Alexander Gomez. According to investigators, that search turned up suspected crack cocaine wrapped in a piece of paper. Gomez was later arrested for possession of a controlled drug. ASP Stacy Smith told us more.

“The arresting officer reported that around 1:50 a.m. on Saturday fifteenth August he was on patrol on Bullett Tree Road when his attention was drawn to Mr. Gomez whose conduct aroused that officer’s suspicion. A search was conducted on Mr. Gomez which led to the discovery of a folded piece of paper which contained a folded piece of paper containing suspected crack cocaine weighing approximately 1.58 grams.”

 

 

Alexander Underwood Arrested in Drug Supply Case

 

A familiar name to police is back before the courts after officers say they found him with suspected crack cocaine. Alexander Underwood, described as a well-known street figure, was busted last Thursday and has since been arrested and charged with possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply. ASP Stacy Smith shared more details on the arrest.

“The arresting officer reported that on Thursday thirteenth August 2026 at around 6:25 p.m. he conducted a search on the person of Mr. Underwood which resulted in the discovery of a transparent plastic bag that was secured around his waist band and that transparent plastic contained suspected cocaine amounting to 15.2 grams.”

 

According to police, Underwood was busted in the Faber’s Road area.
