Carnival Morning Turns Deadly for Pickstock Street Man

Forty-five-year-old Jeremy Clive “Tambran” Hendricks died after he was stabbed during what police suspect was a domestic dispute at a residence on Pickstock Street in Belize City.

The incident occurred just hours before the 2026 Carnival Road March stepped off.

Police responded to the incident just after 3 in the morning on Saturday, where they found Hendricks bleeding from an injury to his right arm. He was rushed to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries. Hendricks was pronounced dead shortly before 5am.

Initial police investigations indicate that Hendricks and his common-law wife became involved in a domestic confrontation that turned physical, during which she allegedly stabbed Hendricks.

“He was a nice and loving uncle to his niece and nephew and they’re very much hurt and traumatized by this incident to be honest,” Hendricks’ sister told News 5. “We’re really hurt a lot. Like I say, it’s just time and God so we’ll leave everything in God’s hands, that’s all I can say.”

“He mih really love his family and his family members,” she added.

Police detained the common-law wife for questioning.
