Ranchito Woman Charged After Tossing Suspected Crack Cocaine
A 38-year-old woman from Ranchito Village, Corozal District, has been arrested and charged after Corozal police allegedly found more than 20 grams of suspected crack cocaine during a search of her residence.
According to Assistant Superintendent Stacy Smith, police were executing a search warrant at Pineda’s home. “Upon approaching the residence and identifying themselves as police officers, a female came to the door subsequently identified as Pineda, and upon seeing the police officers, she threw an object from her hand,” Smith said.
That object was retrieved and found to contain 20.31 grams of suspected crack cocaine, according to Smith.
Pineda was arrested and charged with possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply. She also faces an additional charge of obstruction for the attempt to discard the drugs.
