Build Belize Serves Up Student Success
A properly equipped school kitchen may not sound like a classroom investment, but for more than seven thousand Belizean children, it could make a meaningful difference in how they learn, grow and get through the school day. Build Belize Incorporated has completed its 2026 “Funding Kitchens, Feeding Children” campaign, providing refrigerators, freezers, stoves, cookware, fire extinguishers and other essential supplies to 56 primary schools across all six districts. The organization distributed more than four hundred items, valued at approximately one hundred thousand dollars, to strengthen school kitchens participating in the Ministry of Education’s National Healthy Start Feeding Program. Build Belize wrapped up the campaign at Ebenezer Methodist Primary School, handing over equipment to help schools prepare nutritious meals in safer kitchens. Chair Sandhya Murphy and Director David Ahuja also visited twenty-one schools, where they saw how freshly prepared meals help children focus and ease pressure on families. Midway Wholesale Depot delivered supplies to all 56 schools, while Fabrigas Belize donated thirty-seven fire extinguishers. Build Belize now plans to expand its support to children’s mental health and emotional well-being.
