Alberto August: “Pastor Kevin Might Have Stumbled and Fallen Short of the Glory of God…”
Former United Democratic Party chairman Alberto August has posted a message about Pastor Kevin Tzib on Facebook. Tzib, the founder of Dunamis Ministries, is accused by at least four men of sex crimes.
In the post, August has chosen to open with praise for the accused. “Pastor Kevin Tzib is a dynamic spiritual leader and prayer master,” August wrote. “I have always been impressed by his delivery of the word and his impact on listeners.”
He added, “Like all of us, Pastor Kevin might have stumbled and fallen short of the glory of God, but let him who is without sin cast the first stone.”
“Pastor Kevin, the alleged victims, and the congregation, as well as the Dunamis Ministries and its leadership, are in our prayers,” August wrote.
The man who spoke to News 5 says a pastor he looked up to made repeated unwanted sexual advances on him. He says he and other men reported it to police.
Dunamis Ministries said in a statement it “does not intend to prejudge the matter” and that it “recognises the seriousness of the allegations”. It asked that “the privacy and dignity of all persons concerned be respected.”
