Two Men Charged With Murder of Wilson Perez
Police have charged two men with the murder of Wilson Perez, the president of a sporting club whose body was found in Carmelita Village earlier this month.
The suspects are 23-year-old Alex Anthony Banner and 22-year-old Darnell Emil Rhaburn Sergio.
Perez’s family found his body in Carmelita Village on the morning of October 13 with multiple chop wounds. Police said at the time that he left home around 10:30 the night before, saying he was going to the football field in Carmelita, and he did not return.
A motive for the murder has not been disclosed.
Perez was president of the New Horizon Sporting Club and organised the Orange Walk U-13 Mundialito with the Orange Walk Town Council.
