Police Investigate Stabbing of 19-Year-Old in Belize City

A 19-year-old Belize City man is recovering after being stabbed multiple times in Belize City.

Nelson Gillett reported to the police that the incident happened on Monday night at around 7:45 pm at the corner of North Front Street and Angel Lane.

According to Gillett, a man he knew approached and stabbed him several times.

Gillett received medical treatment for his injuries at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and was later released, police reported.

Police are now searching for the suspect, who is reportedly no stranger to authorities and has had previous encounters with the law.
