Man Stabbed with Broken Bottle by Mr. Handsome’s Alleged Robber

Tonight, a Belize City man is counting his blessings after a terrifying ordeal early Tuesday morning. Thirty-four-year-old Yuri Escalante says he was simply walking past his neighbor’s yard when he spotted someone crouching in the shadows. Curious, he stepped closer, only to be invited to hang out. Escalante declined, but as he turned to leave, he heard the sound of glass shattering. Moments later, he felt a sharp pain in his back. What followed was a brutal attack with a broken bottle. Escalante was stabbed multiple times before police arrived and rushed him to the KHMH, where he’s now in stable condition. Police have since arrested twenty-year-old Kenroy Locario, a Belize City mechanic, charging him with Attempted Murder, Dangerous Harm, and Use of Deadly Means of Harm. Interestingly, Locario was also recently accused of robbing internet personality Eaon Henry, better known as Mister Handsome, but no arrest has been made in that case yet.
