Antelope Street Shooting Targets Women, Kids Nearby

Another shooting rocked Belize City over the weekend, this time in the Antelope Street Extension area. Two women are lucky to be alive after gunmen opened fire on them while they were hanging out in their yard. It happened Sunday evening, just hours after the murder of Alex Miranda. Twenty-year-old Kianny Ramos and thirty-one-year-old Kimberly Miranda were socializing on Laura Dunn Street when the gunfire erupted, children were nearby when the bullets started flying. Ramos was hit in both legs, while Kimberly ran for her life. Thankfully, both women survived. Police shared more details today.

“On Sunday police again responded to a shooting at Laura Dunn in Belize City, upon their arrival they saw Kianny Ramos and Kimberly Miranda with gunshots injuries. They were taken to the KLHMH for treatment. Reports are that they were at a yard when a male person came and fired several shots towards their direction. They are presently at the KHMH receiving treatment. We are seeking one suspect in regards to this shooting. We do not have a motive at this time. They were there and this persons came and fired shots. We believe they were the targets.”
