PM Briceño Confirms San Pedro Tertiary Hospital on Track for 2026 Completion
While in San Pedro this morning, we caught up with Prime Minister John Briceño to get the latest on plans for a new tertiary health facility on the island. Before diving into the update, the Prime Minister paused to share heartfelt condolences with the family of baby Kaleel Nah. He then assured us that the project is moving forward and, if all goes as planned, the state-of-the-art facility should be ready by 2026.

“My heart goes out to the family, but we’re building a hospital and we’re hoping that that hospital, hopefully sometime next year, I have not gone lately to check but maybe I should go between today and tomorrow to see how far the construction is. But once we have that hospital, God willing, we will be able to prevent those tragedies that, I mean, you know, my heart goes out this family… I can’t imagine when my children were small, or my granddaughters. So yes, we have to do better and that is why we are building a hospital in San Pedro.”
