Armed Robbery in San Pedro: Teen Suspects Detained

A brazen armed robbery attempt shook San Pedro on Friday night. Three masked men stormed Publics Supermarket on Coconut Drive, one of them opening fire on a security guard before fleeing the scene empty-handed. Tonight, that guard is recovering after being airlifted to Belize City, while police have already detained two teenage suspects, sixteen-year-old Kyle Rivers and seventeen-year-old John Anderson Martinez, in connection with the crime. The case has raised serious concerns about the role of young people in violent crime and what can be done to prevent it.
