Two Men Charged With Attempted Murder

Police have formally arrested and jointly charged 31‑year‑old Thomas Arriola and 35‑year‑old Gabrielle Sho, both of San Pedro Town, for the crime of attempted murder.

ASP Stacy Smith said the charges follow an incident on November 17, 2025, around 10:00 p.m. on Laguna Drive. “The male persons entered that establishment, where they proceeded to beat and stab Mr Huang, and thereafter they started a fire in the establishment before making good their escape,” Smith explained. 

Residents reported smoke coming from the building and saw an injured Huang exiting the property. Police responded and transported him to the San Pedro Polyclinic, while the fire department extinguished the blaze.

ASP Smith added that investigators believe the fire was set to destroy evidence. “I must say that the quick response of the fire department proved crucial,” ASP Smith said. “While the culprits removed the DVR, the camera was not damaged, and investigators were able to retrieve video footage that led us to the identity of these individuals.”

Arriola was spotted the following day but attempted to evade officers before being apprehended in a mangrove area in San Pedro Town. Sho was arrested at a location he is known to frequent.

Huang underwent surgery and is now listed in stable condition, police said.
