Man Raped in Belmopan

Police are investigating a reported rape involving a 27-year-old man in the Las Flores area of Belmopan.

According to initial reports, officers responded to the area on Tuesday where they spoke with the complainant. The man told police that sometime between 1:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m., he left a party with another man known to him.

He reported that after stopping to purchase beers, the two were returning when the suspect allegedly attacked him, forced him to the ground, and dragged him behind a nearby building, where the sexual assault is said to have occurred.
