BREAKING: Baptist Brother Shot

Belize City police are investigating a deadly shooting that unfolded in broad daylight along the Philip Goldson Highway. 

Authorities say the victims, identified as Hubert Baptist and Eric Fraser, were targeted shortly after 3:00 p.m. while travelling near Mile 4, in the area of the Haulover Bridge.

Both men came under heavy gunfire during the incident.

According to reports, a midsize SUV chased the victims’ vehicle, pulled alongside, and a gunman opened fire, with more than a dozen shots heard.

The vehicle lost control and flipped.
