Belize City Couple Charged After Cocaine Found in Home
Police have arrested and charged a Belize City couple following the discovery of suspected cocaine during a targeted anti-drug operation carried out by the Eastern Division.
Authorities say Corey Ottley and Tricia Ottley of Vasquez Avenue, Kings Park, were charged with possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply after officers searched their residence and found 154 grams of suspected cocaine.
The arrest formed part of a wider nationwide anti-drug and weapons operation conducted between May 25 and May 29, 2026, involving specialised police units and regional formations across the country.
During the coordinated operations, police say a total of 10 firearms were seized in targeted search operations carried out in Belize City, Corozal, and Belmopan.
Authorities say this week’s seizures bring the total since the start of 2026 to 116 firearms of different calibres, along with 3,724 rounds of ammunition. So far, 109 people have been arrested for firearm and ammunition-related offences.
