Who Would Want To Kill A Teen?

Police have taken two people into custody in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old boy in Dangriga early Sunday morning.

According to ACP Hilberto Romero, Head of the National Crimes Investigation Branch, police responded to a shooting in Dangriga around 5:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found 16-year-old Isiah Norales with gunshot injuries. He was taken for medical treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.

ACP Romero said Norales was riding his bicycle alone in the Benguche area when a motorcycle carrying two people approached him. One of the two then opened fire in his direction, inflicting the fatal injuries.

“He had a dispute with 2 persons from Dangriga over some issues and that is what led to this shooting,” Romero told reporters.

He added that both men are known to police and described them as “older” than the victim.
