A proposal that would allow high school students in rural Toledo to earn an income while completing their education is being considered for Corazon Creek Technical High School (CCTHS).

Area Representative for Toledo East Osmond Martinez revealed the talks in a social media post, noting that Transparent BPO could partner with the school to establish a work‑on‑site programme. “Students can work and further their education at the same time. We are currently doing our assessment and so far we are optimistic of this idea. This can boost the economy of Corazon Creek and surrounding communities,” he wrote.

The announcement came as Transparent BPO donated 100 computer systems to the school. Martinez said the computers will be used to equip the computer lab and support classes for students pursuing studies at the University of Belize and Galen University.

He thanked the company for what he described as “enormous support” and for the opportunities the company continues to provide to the people of Toledo and Belize.

Transparent BPO recently expanded its presence in southern Belize with the opening of a branch office in the Toledo District, becoming the first company in the sector to establish operations there.

Earlier this year, Prime Minister John Briceño noted that the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector employs more than 20,000 people nationwide and generates over US$150 million annually in wages.
