Belize Gymnasts Bring Home 22 Medals

Belize’s team of young gymnasts went to El Salvador, competed in the region’s largest artistic gymnastics competition, and came home with 22 medals to show for it.

The El Salto Team Challenge took place last week, May 28 to 31. Team Belize represented SESA Gymnastics and the Gymnastics Federation of Belize against athletes from across Central America and the Caribbean. The team earned medals across multiple categories.

Gymnasts Selene Bedran and Adrianna Paz rose to the top of the competition, both qualifying for the event finals and holding their own against some of the region’s best performers.

The 22-medal performance adds another milestone for Belizean gymnastics.
