Benny’s Gives Grace Primary a Fresh Start with Classroom Makeover

Walking into this classroom today feels like stepping into a whole new world. The walls are brighter, the furniture is fresh, and the energy is totally different. What used to be just another classroom has been transformed into a vibrant, inspiring space for learning. Thanks to the team at Benny’s, students at Grace Primary School, and one very lucky teacher, now have a classroom that stimulates creativity and excitement.  Kenisha Rhaburn, the teacher who won the makeover, says her students are more motivated than ever. In tonight’s story, we take you inside this colorful transformation and hear how a fresh coat of paint and a few thoughtful touches are making a big difference.

“It made my classroom environment a beautiful and comfortable one for my students and I hope it motivates them to want to learn.”

Benny’s is giving back in a big way, by awarding one lucky teacher with a complete classroom makeover just in time for the new school year. The company, that has been serving Belize since 1947, says this is only the beginning, with plans to make it bigger and better next year. Ellen Borland explains how their team brought the new classroom to life.

“Our team came in to do all the labor and what we did was cleaning and buffing the walls. Cleaning and polishing and of course painting the floors. We did mural designs. We facilitated the teacher with charts that were needed for the classroom as well as floor fans because it’s really hot. We also provided exercise books and last, but definitely not least, thirty-two of our success charts that we made locally here in Belize.”

For the teachers and children who spend most of their day here, this makeover is a fresh start, not just a fresh coat of paint. Benny’s thanks the school for the opportunity to serve their community and encourages the public to follow their social media for future projects and promotions.

“Hey, Benny’s, thank you for this makeover and I encourage everyone, shop at Benny’s, follow Benny’s page. That’s how I won. I was just a follower on their Facebook page and I entered the competition and I am grateful that I am the first winner of a classroom makeover in Belize.”

This project is a reminder that when businesses invest in their communities, they can spark joy, inspire action, and motivate young minds. Reporting for News Five, I’m Zenida Lanza.
