BIFF Launches Search for Belizean Screenwriting Talent
Lights up on Belizean creativity. The Belize International Film Festival is calling on storytellers at home and abroad to put pen to paper and dream big. The hunt is on for the next standout Belizean short screenplay, one that brings our landscapes, our culture, and our voices to life. From dramatic scenes set against the sweeping Sleeping Giant near The Banks Resort, to stories unfolding along the sun drenched shores of Jaguar Reef in the heart of Hopkins, the stage is wide open for bold, original storytelling. And there’s more than bragging rights on the line. The winning screenplay takes home five hundred dollars, a potential additional five hundred dollars for film rights buyout, and a one night resort stay during production, turning a great idea into a real world film experience.
