“Bobo Youth’s” Murder Case Crumbles as Key Witness Vanishes

Two men charged with the murder of “Bobo Youth” walked out of court on Wednesday after the case against them collapsed. The Director of Public Prosecutions dropped the charges when police failed to locate their key witness, who had reportedly feared for his life. Travis Jamaal Herbert, twenty-five, was freed. But his co-accused, twenty-three-year-old Robert Arnold, remains behind bars on a separate murder charge. Both men had been on trial for the March 22nd, 2024, shooting of Rudolph “Bobo Youth” Lewis on Elston Kerr Street. Prosecutors say Lewis was riding his motorcycle when gunmen pulled up and opened fire. The case was set to begin before Justice Nigel Pilgrim, until the prosecution abruptly entered a nolle prosequi, bringing it to an end.
