Charged for Attempted Murder

Police have charged a 21-year-old man in connection with the shooting of 25-yrar-old Maleek Sutherland earlier this week in the Old Capital.

Authorities say Jadon Young was charged with Attempted Murder and Use of Deadly Means of Harm.

According to police, Sutherland of Bermudian Landing Village was on his way to work when an SUV reportedly pulled up beside him and a passenger opened fire.

Sutherland was shot and later transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

At the time, ASP Stacy Smith said investigators were exploring a possible motive but noted that details would only be disclosed when necessary.
