Five Detained in Suspected Kidnapping of Indian Creek Alcalde

Police are investigating the disappearance of Marcos Canti, the First Alcalde of Indian Creek Village, after he failed to return home from his farm on Monday afternoon.

According to police, Canti, 41, left his home around 2:30 p.m. to tend his farm near Pine Hill Village. By 4:00 p.m., his wife and a friend went searching and discovered his bicycle, machete, and basket of freshly picked tomatoes abandoned on the ground. Signs of a possible struggle were also observed, but Canti was nowhere to be found.

His wife, Elfina Canti, told investigators that the disappearance was unusual and noted that her husband had received threats the day before. She believes the incident may be linked to ongoing land disputes within the village.

The situation quickly escalated into unrest in Indian Creek, where tensions boiled over into a riot. Police confirmed that five people have been detained as part of the investigation into the “suspected kidnapping” of the First Alcalde.
