Winners will be announced at the 37th CBU Media Awards Gala on August 19, 2026, during the CBU’s 57th Annual General Assembly (#CBUAGA57) in Georgetown, Guyana.
The Assembly, hosted by the Government of Guyana, will centre on the theme Caribbean Media and AI. This is a topic of pressing relevance as newsrooms across the region grapple with the opportunities and disruptions that artificial intelligence is bringing to journalism, content production, and audience engagement. CBU President Anthony Greene confirmed the theme and venue in a video message to members and stakeholders.
The three-day programme is expected to draw media executives, journalists, academics, content creators, development partners, and suppliers of media equipment and services, with sessions focused on emerging trends, professional development, networking, and the celebration of regional media excellence. The Annual General Assembly remains one of the Caribbean’s leading forums for dialogue and collaboration within the media sector.
Registration details and programme information will be released through the CBU website and official social media platforms as preparations continue.
