Here Is How Strong Belize’s Passport Is
Belize’s passport ranks 89th globally in 2026, with a mobility score of 101, according to Passport Reports.
Belize’s mobility score has remained relatively stable in recent years, falling from 102 in 2025. Its global ranking also dropped from 81st last year to 89th this year.
The score gives Belizean passport holders access to 101 destinations through visa-free travel, visa-on-arrival or other simplified entry arrangements, and electronic travel authorization. The report lists 58 visa-free destinations, 37 under simplified entry arrangements and six requiring an eTA.
Together, those destinations account for 51% of the worldwide list, while 97 destinations require Belizean passport holders to obtain a visa before travelling.
The Caribbean remains Belize’s strongest region, with 100% access through visa-free, simplified-entry or eTA arrangements. Belize also has 90.9% access across North America, but visas are required for travel to the United States and Canada.
For other major destinations, the United Kingdom requires an eTA for Belizean passport holders, while the Schengen Area is listed as visa-required.
