“Police have formally arrested and charged fifty-nine-year-old Mark Lopez of Punta Gorda Town for two counts of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply to another. The arrest of Lopez follows police execution of a search warrant at his residence on Friday, seventh August, which led to two quantities of suspected crack cocaine amounting to ten-point-nine-seven grams and six-point-six-six grams respectively.”
Police have stepped up anti-drugs operations across the country as it is believed many of the violent incidents stem from drug trade disuputes. Both cases are now before the courts.
