More Details on Orange Walk’s 68-Year-Old Chopped to Death
Police are investigating the killing of 68-year-old Virginio Carrillo, who was found near a cane field road in San Lazaro Village, Orange Walk, this morning.
Carillo was “observed with several chop wounds,” said ACP Hilberto Romero, Head of the National Crimes Investigation Branch.
According to police, a villager heading to one of the cane fields spotted the body and alerted police. Officers were dispatched around 9:30am after receiving information that a body had been found.
“He left from his workplace and he was going to his farm,” Romero added, stating that Carillo was nor reported missing.
