Madre ruega ayuda para cirugía auditiva de su hija

Mother Makes Urgent Appeal to Help Daughter

A Belizean mother is pleading for urgent help as her three-year-old daughter faces a medical condition that has left her unable to hear or speak. Little Raquel Quiñones was diagnosed on May twenty-ninth with a narrowing of both ear canals, a condition confirmed through a CT scan conducted in Chetumal. The scan revealed abnormal tissue growth affecting the bony portion of her ear canal, which now threatens her ability to develop speech without immediate intervention. Doctors have advised that an additional exam in Merida is urgently needed to determine her eligibility for surgery that could restore her hearing by getting a Cochlear Implant.
