Prime Minister Briceño also revealed that the Ministry of Finance will lead the rollout of this program. That raised eyebrows on the Opposition bench. Tracy Panton questioned why Finance, and not Education, is in charge, and warned against the risk of only a select few benefiting. Meanwhile, Mesopotamia’s Area Rep, Lee Mark Chang, took a different approach, offering space in his constituency, rent-free, to help expand the program there.

“Believe you me, some of those guys in Mesop cannot cross certain lines. I want to put on record that I am willing to work with the government. I have an entire floor, about fifteen hundred square foot on Euphrates Avenue that I am offering rent free as a training center, rent free and it is ready. You just have to move in your equipment. It is ready. Son that is in discussion. I dah business man, I do business all over the place. Me nuh the mess with deh bally. They are on a different level. Offering it rent free as a training center to uplift unemployment and youths, both young men and women, because the truth is Tubal is too far, many young people cannot pass certain areas for job training, because of gang rivalries.”
