PM Briceño Welcomes Direct Flights From Europe

Belize is getting a direct air link to Europe. The Belize Tourism Board says Discover Airlines will begin seasonal service between Frankfurt, Germany, and Belize City on December 16, 2027. This will create a new gateway for travelers from Germany and other European markets. The flights will operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays, through mid-April 2028, placing the service squarely within Belize’s peak winter and dry-season travel period.  PM Briceno says this if big news for Belize.

“Definitely that has been something that successive governments have been working on. They have been trying to get this done for a very long time. And you have to give credit to Minister Mahler and the Ministry of Tourism and BTB and the Government that we have been showing great success in what we have been doing in our country. And I do hope it will be able to boost our numbers in Belize because now we have direct flights from Europe.”
