Quick-Thinking Neighbor Foils Violent Cristo Rey Break-In

Last week, a sixty-six-year-old woman in Cristo Rey Village narrowly escaped serious harm after two armed men forced her into her home and began ransacking the property. Police say the suspects fled when officers arrived on the scene, thanks to a quick-thinking neighbor who alerted authorities as the crime unfolded. One suspect was captured following a chase, and investigators recovered a point two-two pistol, ammunition, and stolen jewelry belonging to the homeowner. ASP Stacy Smith says police have since made arrested the individual.
