San Pedro Building Unit Scrambles to Regain CBA Certification
The San Pedro Building Unit is working to get back in the Central Building Authority’s good books after it was decertified last week. According to Mayor Nunez, the unit met with representatives from the CBA on the island for today. This could spell good news for future developers looking to secure building permits and approvals on the island.

“According to the CBA, there were some irregularities within their works and their operations which is directly linked to them and that is when they came over and decertified. We had a meeting with them today and we have gotten back together and we are working back with CBA. There are some small changes we have to do to continue in compliance. It is more of an internal thing within CBA and the local building unit, and not directly under the San Pedro Town Council.”
The CBA had flagged the units operations on multiple occasion for not following due process, before ultimately decertifying their operations.
