Search Ends in Tragedy for Dangriga Delivery Man
A troubling pattern is emerging tonight. For the third time in just one week, a young man reported missing has been found dead. This time, the victim is twenty four year old Steve Lewis of Dangriga. Lewis, a delivery man, left home Tuesday morning for what was supposed to be a routine job and never made it back. His mother, Suceli Lewis, says her son received a call that day from someone in Dangriga who hired him to make a delivery to a farm in Silk Grass Village. That was the last time his family heard from him. This morning, a search party made a devastating discovery, Lewis’ body was found in a body of water in Silk Grass Village. As the community reels from yet another loss, the family is now questioning the circumstances surrounding his death and suspects foul play. His mother spoke with News Five shortly after learning of the discovery.

“We have a set of search teams that came out and so I wont call any name. They have one of my friend that came through he back by the BTL tower on the southern road. He said he smell a scent and saw koncas. So, he stopped, when he stopped he smell for the scent and went direct to him in the ditch, like a lagoon like stream. Based on footage we suspect foul play. That is something unusual for us, because Jun Jun is a family person. He does not come out. So it is unusual for us. As he does his delivery he comes back home and wont go out until he gets a call again. Then he comes out again.”

“And that morning when he disappeared he was working?”
Suceli Lewis
“Yes, he was working. They called him to do a delivery. The young man called him from Lake Land to do a delivery and the young man told him to bring a cover up helmet. So my baby went to look for a cover up helmet and gone pick up the person and shoot out of Dangriga. With the person on the cycle. Yes, a delivery ride to let them drop him to work at farm, a Silk Grass Farm. He dah wah sweet, humble young man, sweet, I the be honest, he does not have problem. He does not even have friends.4:52Lewis worked as a delivery man for six years. His mother says that they will leave the matter in the hands of investigators.”
