Senior Citizen Busted with Crack in San Pedro

At sixty-seven, San Pedro resident Jose Gonzalez is facing a serious drug-trafficking charge. Police say officers encountered Gonzalez during a late-night patrol and allegedly discovered a quantity of suspected crack cocaine. He was arrested and formally charged as investigators continued their probe. ASP Stacy Smith provided the details.

“ Police have formally arrested and charged sixty-seven-year-old Jose Gonzalez of San Pedro Town for the offense of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply. The arresting officer reported that on Wednesday, second September, at about eleven thirty PM, whilst on mobile patrol, his attention was drawn to Gonzalez, whose conduct aroused that officer’s suspicion. Mr. Gonzalez was stopped and advised that a search would be conducted on his person, and this search resulted in the discovery of suspected crack cocaine, which weighed a total of three point eight nine grams.”
