SPHS: ‘Senior Prank Went Too Far’
San Pedro High School has rejected reports that teachers failed to show up for work, following viral claims that the institution was left in “complete disarray.”
In a Facebook statement, the school clarified that all teachers reported for duty as scheduled.
The clarification comes after a video circulated online showing a classroom in disarray, with desks overturned and papers scattered across the floor.
School officials say the damage was caused by a senior prank that went too far.
“The situation in question was the result of a senior prank that unfortunately went too far and led to damage on campus,” the statement said.
While acknowledging that end-of-year traditions are common among graduating students, the school stressed that any actions resulting in damage to property are taken seriously. It confirmed that students involved will face consequences.
“We encourage everyone to seek the facts and continue supporting our school community with honesty, respect, and accountability,” the statement added.
