Survivor of Fatal Sarteneja Crash Needs Emergency Surgery
A family is seeking the public’s help after Derick Arceo was critically injured in the fatal crash in Sarteneja village, Corozal, on Sunday night. The collision claimed the lives of two men, including Godwin Seally.
Arceo is currently receiving treatment in Belize City and requires an urgent CT scan and emergency surgery, according to the family. “If anyone wants to contribute, I would appreciate it whole-heartedly,” the family member added. “Any contribution, no matter how small, will help.”
According to police, a dispute at a social event escalated into a high-speed chase, with a truck pursuing a motorcycle carrying several people. The motorcycle driver lost control and slammed into a house. Two men, including Godwin Seally, died on the spot.
A woman and a child, along with Arceo, survived but suffered serious injuries. The woman and child remain under medical care at the Corozal Community Hospital.
