“This is the Place for You”: Belize Book Fair Calls on All Readers & Writers

Belize is joining global celebrations for World Book and Copyright Week with a two-day book fair focused on strengthening reading culture and supporting local authors.

The Belize Book Sector Network is hosting the event at the House of Culture in Belize City, where visitors can explore a wide display of Belizean publications, meet authors, and take part in panel discussions on literacy, publishing, and copyright.

Panel discussions began this morning and ends at 3 o’clock, with sessions continuing on Thursday. 

President of the Network, Felene Cayetano, said the initiative has grown steadily over the years, stating, “This year we are so pleased to have a more organised programme.”

Cayetano said the event is open to a broad audience, from avid readers to aspiring writers and even entrepreneurs exploring publishing opportunities.

“This is the place for you,” she said.
