Three Armed Men Tie Up Guards, Steal Cash at Bus Terminal

Police are investigating an early-morning burglary at the Novelo’s bus terminal.

ACP Hilberto Romero, Head of the National Crimes Investigation Branch, said officers received reports of the incident around 2:30 a.m. on Monday. “Security guards who were working at the time reported that they had been tied up by three male persons who were armed with firearms,” Romero told reporters.

The men reportedly took the office keys from the guards, entered the office, and made off with less than $800 in cash along with two cell phones belonging to the guards.

Surveillance footage is being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
