Truck Driver Charged for Triple Fatality Sarteneja Accident

Police have formally charged the driver involved in the tragic Sarteneja traffic accident that claimed the lives of three men earlier this month. Amadi Gongora is facing a series of traffic-related offenses in connection with the June eighth crash that killed brothers Godwin and Ignacio Sealy, along with Israel Chacon. Gongora has been charged with three counts of manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, driving without due care and attention and driving with alcohol concentration above the prescribed limit. Residents say Gongora was chasing a group on a three-wheel motorcycle when he lost control of his Ford pickup truck and slammed into them, killing the Seally brothers before also striking Chacon, who was riding a bicycle in the area at the time. Police had previously indicated that both parties had reportedly been socializing at an establishment before the deadly crash. The Seally family has been calling for murder charges to be filed, since they contend that the killing was intentional.
