Belize Basketball’s Biggest Two Weeks Start Now

Only two weeks are left in the regular season of the National Elite Basketball League (NEBL) with six final games, of which four teams will make it to the playoffs.

The NEBL regular season is in its final stretch, and while the Belize City Defenders and Orange Walk Running Rebels have already locked in their playoff berths, the race for the last two spots is open.

The Defenders sit at the top with an 8-2 record and have already secured home court advantage in the semi-finals. The Running Rebels are right behind them at 7-3, also guaranteed a home semi-final. Both teams are still battling for the number one seed, with Orange Walk holding the tiebreaker over Belize City.

The fight now shifts to the remaining playoff spots. Cayo Western Ballaz, San Pedro Tiger Sharks and EZ Investment Griga Dream Ballers are all scrapping for the remaining two playoff positions. Any of the three could advance or be sent home depending on how the final games play out.

Meanwhile, the Belmopan Trojans and Corozal Spartans have officially been eliminated from playoff contention.
